Information Society Open to Impairments

e-ISOTIS is a non profit organisation with headquarters in Greece and a representation office in Brussels. Its aim is to promote independent living and quality of life for disabled and elderly people.


E-ISOTIS has established close links with a large network of stakeholders in the disability area and community of elderly people from all around the world. e-ISOTIS co-operates closely with National Associations of people with disabilities, and elderly people as well as with universities, ICT companies and public authorities in many European countries. The greatest asset of the organisation is its human factor. More specifically, it is supported by an ambitious team of experts with first priority the advancement of independent living for disabled people and elderly via legal advice, education/learning, support of employability, social support and familiarisation with accessible ICT.


The organisation via its umbrella association has links to more than 360,000 people with disabilities and elderly. In spite of its recent establishment, it has shown strong activity and experience in cooperation at local, regional, national and trans-national level. Associate members of e-ISOTIS are federations and social organisations that advance better quality of life for all.


In addition, e-ISOTIS is operating the only e-learning platform that is accessible by all and run courses for all users. Furthermore, e-ISOTIS is involved in online accessible games for training in basic skills. Also, e-ISOTIS has been involved in a European study about e-Inclusion and had identified e-inclusion policies that reduce the digital divide and promote good practices for the employability of disabled people and also senior ex-workers.
